A poche ore di distanza dall’annuncio dell’attesissimo nuovo singolo di Britney Spears, “Make Me (Oooh)“, ecco emergere i primi non confermati rumors riguardo il brano ed il nono album della cantante.
Stando alle voci che circolano nel web, “Make Me (Oooh)” sarà “Un punto di svolta. I fans resteranno di stucco ascoltando il pezzo. Britney abbandonerà il tradizionale concetto di pop-music per andare oltre. Un vero pop alternativo caratterizzato da un sound molto, molto più duro“. Ad avvalorare tale descrizione, giunge il rumor che vede il dj inglese BURNS in veste di produttore del brano. Burns proviene dal panorama techno\trap angloamericano ed ascoltando alcuni dei suoi brani (“Near Me“, “Beauty Queen” e “When I’m Around U“), è facile pensare ad una mega quanto “inedita-nel-panorama-pop” traccia da dancefloor.
Per quanto riguarda l’album, la cui uscita sembra essere fissata per il mese di Giugno, sei vocifera che le recording sessions non siano ancora terminate. Nel prossimo mese infatti, Britney dovrebbe recarsi nuovamente in studio per registrare un paio di tracce prima dell’inizio della fase di mixing. I produttori Roccstar e Max Martin sono stati scartati dal progetto mentre DjMustard è confermato. La direzione musicale dell’album non è ancora stata rivelata, ma sembra che la cantante abbia voluto registrare alcuni brani profondamente tendenti al Trap (ovvero un sound elettronico estremamente aggressivo e martellante avente molti elementi affini al dubstep, il genere musicale introdotto nel panorama pop da Britney stessa con “Hold It Against Me“). Concludendo, sembra inoltre che miss Spears abbia inviato tre sue nuove tracce a Nicki Minaj invitandola a sceglierne una per creare una collaborazione.
